Engineering students visited Branch Technology and Collider to learn how 3D printing is used in manufacturing today. Branch Technology uses a giant robotic arm to 3D print walls for custom houses. Their current project will be able to be viewed later this year on the grounds of Chattanooga State.

Collider uses a 3D printer called Orchid to print molds that are then injected with different materials to create custom or prototype parts. This process is much cheaper than conventional methods.
